Rebranding of Sunway University Foundation Strengthens Sunway’s Commitment to Academic Pathways

Sunway Education Group is proud to announce the official rebranding of the Sunway Foundation Programme (SFP) to Sunway University Foundation, reflecting the programme’s evolution, growth, and strengthened alignment with Sunway University’s academic pathways.

Launched at a ceremony attended by Sunway University leadership, faculty, and student representatives, the rebranding underscores the programme’s longstanding commitment to excellence. Since its introduction with the Foundation in Arts (FIA) in 2009 and the Foundation in Science and Technology (FIST) in 2012, the programme has grown from fewer than 100 students to more than 1,800 students annually.

With this scale, Sunway University Foundation now stands as the largest foundation programme in Malaysia’s private higher education sector, further cementing the trust placed in Sunway as a leading education provider.

Speaking at the event, Ms Suzana, Programme Director highlighted that the new name “better represents who we are today and the direction we are heading,” while reaffirming Sunway University Foundation’s mission to develop young minds, build solid academic foundations, and support seamless progression into Sunway University degree programmes.

Ms Suzana also expressed appreciation to Sunway University management, the marketing team, and all Sunway University Foundation lecturers for their dedication and unwavering commitment to student success.

The launch marks a new chapter for the Foundation, strengthening its identity while continuing its role as a cornerstone of Sunway’s educational ecosystem.
