Together We Give MUFY “Sharity” Fiesta Brings Hope to Children Through RM16,000 Fundraiser

The MUFY “Sharity” Fiesta, held on 6 and 7 October 2025, successfully raised RM16,000 in support of the Shelter After School Programme, an initiative by the Shelter Home for Children. The programme provides a safe and supervised space for children living in underserved, high-density communities, offering structured activities that keep them engaged and protected from negative influences. It also creates opportunities for the children to receive academic support with the help of dedicated volunteers.

Over two consecutive days, MUFY students and staff participated enthusiastically in various games and activities while enjoying the wide selection of delicious treats sold at the event.

This year’s Fiesta introduced an exciting new activity: “H2-Ohhh My Lecturer!” — where courageous MUFY lecturers volunteered to be drenched once their fundraising targets were met. A heartfelt thank you to Mr Lee Thye Cheong, Director of MUFY, and MUFY lecturers — Ms Charity Yang, Mr Mahesh Biaspal, Ms Karenjit Kaur, Ms Lucy Johnny, Ms Jessvin Kaur, Ms Tan Hui Shi, Ms Thilaga Arvartia, and Mr Jason Lee — for stepping up with such energy and generosity.
